Our mission

Most commerce platforms force a trade-off. The easy ones lock you into a fixed feature set you can't extend. The powerful ones hand you a blank server and a maintenance burden. We started ShopsWired to erase that trade-off — to give merchants and developers a platform where the floor is low enough to launch in minutes and the ceiling is high enough to build things no off-the-shelf store could.

Where we came from

ShopsWired began as a simpler product — an embeddable shop for local businesses and creators, focused on dropping a storefront onto an existing website. It was useful, but it had a ceiling: you were renting a fixed product, not building on a platform.

So we rebuilt it from the ground up. Today, ShopsWired is a fully managed, fully programmable commerce platform: install ready-made themes and plugins with no code, or build your own with a secure server-side scripting engine, custom database records, a cross-store "Wired Network," and a CLI with a native MCP server for AI-assisted development. What we believe

• Merchants should own their sales. That's why we charge 0% transaction fees on every plan — you pay your payment processor and nothing to us on top.
• Customization shouldn't be a paywall. Every shop, on every tier, gets custom domains, SSL, edge caching, the scripting engine, custom records, and the full plugin and theme APIs.
• Anyone can build. Launch a full store with ready-made themes and plugins and no code — or open the hood and build your own, then publish it for free or sell it to other merchants.
• You shouldn't have to manage infrastructure. ShopsWired is fully managed. We host, scale, secure, and run everything — including your custom plugins and themes — so there are no servers, deploys, or maintenance to worry about.
• Developers get real tooling. Local development with live preview, a genuine API surface, and a CLI with native MCP support — built for the way modern teams (and their AI agents) actually work.
• Pricing should be honest. Transparent, per-shop plans with generous limits and no surprise cuts of your revenue.
