Move your store to ShopsWired.
Most moves come down to the same steps: export your data, import it, set up your look, redirect old links, and point your domain. Here's how each one works, and where an AI assistant can save you hours.
1. Export from your old platform
Every major platform exports products, customers and orders to CSV. Download those files. They're the raw material for your new store.
2. Import into ShopsWired
Under Settings → Import/Export, download a template for products, customers, orders or custom records, map your columns into it, and upload. Rows are matched by their id, so you can re-run an import to fix things up.
3. Let an AI assistant help
Connect Claude or another MCP assistant with full access and ask it to reshape your export, load the catalog, tag products and set up shipping. Every change it makes is in your audit log.
4. Choose your look
Pick a theme and preview it live before installing, set your logo and brand colors, and rebuild key pages with the drag-and-drop layout builder. Developers can edit every theme file.
5. Keep your old links working
Install the Page & Redirect plugin to map old URLs to new ones, including wildcard rules such as /products/* => /product/* 301, so search rankings and bookmarks carry over.
6. Point your domain
Add your domain, verify it with a CNAME and a TXT record, and SSL is set up for you. Use a subdomain such as www or shop. Root domains aren't supported yet.
Good to know before you move
- There's no one-click importer for Shopify, WooCommerce or other platforms. Data moves by CSV, which also lets you clean it up on the way in.
- Payments are reconnected, not moved. Install a payment plugin such as Stripe or Square and connect your account. Saved cards from another platform don't transfer.
- Apps become built-in features or plugins. List what your current apps do. Subscriptions, wholesale pricing, pickup and the customer inbox are already built in, and the rest is usually a marketplace plugin.
- Run both side by side. Build on your store's yourstore.shopswired.net address and switch the domain only when you're ready.
